About me
In my high school English classes, I was always excited when the teachers gave creative writing assignments. I enjoyed taking an idea, developing it into a story, and reading the finished product out loud. To my delight, the other students liked my stories and began looking forward to hearing them. Soon I began thinking about how to create even better narratives that would grab their attention and win their praise. I didn’t realize it then, but this was when I began to form an understanding of the art of storytelling and writing for an audience.
Throughout my career in communications as a writer, editor, and strategist, I’ve been deepening this understanding and building my expertise. Having worked in the higher education and tech industries in a number of roles, I’ve grown into adept and adaptable communications professional—one who believes in making a notable difference. We’re lucky if we’re able to do work that is meaningful to us, and for me, it’s helping organizations achieve their communications goals.
Although years have passed, I’m still that high schooler at heart, excited to tell, shape, and share stories that connect with people.
